Welcome to BeKind Rescue. 

We are a UK‑based rescue, founded in August 2018, and we operate as a foster‑based dog and cat rehoming charity run entirely by volunteers. Our team works tirelessly to rescue, support, and rehome animals in need.

We were awarded charitable status in August 2019, and our Registered Charity Number is 1184755.

We work predominantly within the UK, taking in dogs and cats whose current homes can no longer care for them, or whose guardians have sadly passed away. We rely heavily on the generosity of fellow animal lovers to ensure our charity can continue its vital work. At BeKind Rescue, animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do. We believe all animals deserve compassion, respect, and thoughtful consideration. We strive, without discrimination, to do everything within our power to support an animal in need. We work closely with our fosters and adopters to provide high‑quality, knowledgeable guidance using kind, reward‑based methods.

Alongside rescuing and rehoming, we aim to respectfully educate others and promote excellent welfare standards wherever we go.

We are an Approved Rescue with Pet Pro Network and KAD – Kids Around Dogs.

Our trustees are certified dog trainers and/or behaviourists or have relevant industry qualifications and continue to learn and develop their skills using force‑free, ethical methods. This ensures we can support our fosters and adopters with confidence and care. We never lose contact and provide full lifetime support for every animal who comes through our doors.

Our education provider, The DoGenius Institute, offers us inspirational and ethical learning opportunities.

All members of the BeKind team are volunteers, and every penny donated goes directly to helping the animals in our care. We are committed to financial transparency so our supporters can see exactly how their kind donations are used.

As a foster‑based rescue, we are always delighted to hear from anyone interested in fostering (applications and home checks apply). All members of the BeKind team own or foster rescue animals themselves, and we provide our foster families with full support and advice, as well as covering vet bills while the animal is in foster care. There are many other ways you can support BeKind, perhaps by creating a fundraiser, spreading the word, or sharing our page. You may even wish to become a home checker in your area. We would love to hear from you, and we hope that in time many of you will consider fostering or adopting a BeKind rescue animal.
