Before you decide to give up your pet, please review your alternatives to surrendering your pet.

Please note that we are a UK-based charity.

(if you are experiencing behaviour issues, we highly recommend contacting a fully qualified Behaviourist through IMDT, APDT, ABTC or our education provider The DoGenius Institute).

If, despite your best efforts and after exploring all other alternatives, you find that you need to surrender your pet(s), BeKind Rescue may be able to help. We accept dogs and cats who might otherwise be abandoned or given away for free. However, as a foster‑based rescue, our space is limited, and we can only take in a small number of animals at any one time.

We are not able to take pets with serious behaviour concerns. In these situations, we can recommend qualified trainers and behaviourists who can support you in working with your pet at home. We are also happy to offer some initial free advice. You can email us at info@bekindrescue.com.

Our goal is to find a happy, safe home for every healthy and treatable pet in our care, regardless of their background. To do this, we gather as much information as possible about each animal. Please follow the process below, and we will contact you so we can learn more about your pet.

Complete the Dog Relinquishment Form or Cat Relinquishment Form.

All information provided must be 100% honest.

Once we receive your form, and if space is available, BeKind Rescue will contact you to arrange an appointment to discuss the surrender of your pet. Please be prepared to talk through your pet’s daily habits, routines, and behaviours.

When we visit you, please ensure your pet is safe and secure.

After reviewing all the information and speaking with your veterinarian for health details, we will discuss your options with you so that together we can make the best possible decision for your pet.
